With Force.com, you can implement business logic and build entire apps using point-and-click features such as workflows and approval processes. But sometimes you need even more control and that’s when you can leverage the power of Apex.

Apex is a strongly-typed, object-oriented programming language that lets you centralize and execute flow and transaction control statements on the Force.com platform in conjunction with application calls to Force.com ?APIs.

To help you get started programming on the Force.com platform, we wanted to share with you some very helpful Apex videos.  We have categorized them into separate segments, to give you an overview and provide you with an understanding of the different aspects of Apex code. If you’re new to Apex, Trailhead is our platform for learning Force.com topics like Apex and includes fun, hands-on online tutorials. Trailhead is the best way to get started learning Apex.

Intro to Apex

In this webinar, you will get an overview of the syntax, we look at its database support, followed by testing, web services, and dynamic Apex. Finally, we demonstrate the Apex language executing on the Force.com platform.

Advanced Apex Webinar

Ready for some more advance learnings on advanced? This webinar takes you to the next level in programming on the Salesforce and Force.com platform. We dive deeper into Apex, and guide you through examples of advanced design patterns and techniques, and much more related to Apex on the Salesforce1 platform. You will also see in-depth demonstration into testing and code coverage on Force.com, and learn some solid best practices and recipes for writing better tests. A definite must watch.
