After going through some of the recent toolkit launches, I sat back and looked at all the toolkits, and integration options that are currently available. It is safe to say there are a lot, many of which are new; others you may not have even know exist. Here's a quick list, in no particular order:

Java .Net Mac OS X & iOS
Perl Python PHP
Ruby On Rails Android Azure
Google Wave Amazon Flex
ColdFusion Excel

Of course, the big news in connectivity these days is the launch of the REST API – this opens up so many opportunities for connecting to There are already a bunch of recipes in the Cookbook describing how to use the REST API with Ruby, and PHP for example, and Sandeep just published a great article on using the REST API for Android development. The Recent Toolkits

How to Contribute

The great thing about such open connectivity is that, although many start from the us in the Developer Evangelism team (Daveme, Sandeep, PatJosh, and Steve), there is such an active greater developer community that we constantly see contributions to the projects listed on GitHubCode Share, and discussion boards. It is always rewarding to see projects take on a life of their own. After all, the best sort of connectivity is with the community who make the Cloud such a great place to be!
