Dreamforce ’11 is live in San Francisco this week and we’ve been seeing huge crowds in the Developer Zone here in Moscone West. With so much going on, the days are starting to blur together for me and I think my shoe odometer reading is not that far off from the official attendee count (over 40K). The Developer sessions have also been packed and one in particular had a full house on Tuesday –  Apex Design Patterns and Best Practices. That session is near and dear to my heart  – its a topic I’m personally very interested in and I know both speakers personally. Anand Narasimhan and Richard Vanhook are true rockstars of the Force.com Development community and they presented an awesome session yesterday. They presented 4 design patterns – Pagination, Running Apex logic in any context, Sequencing Apex batch jobs and using Environment variables on the Force.com platform. All Dreamforce sessions are recorded and so if you weren’t able to join us in SF this year, you can always watch a recording of their session once it’s posted online. In the meantime, Anand and Richard have posted the code for the 4 patterns that they demoed on GitHub. Check out their code and be sure to join us for today’s keynote (or watch the live webcast) that will be all about the Platform.

Now its time for me to tighten up my shoelaces and get back to the Developer Zone.
