#TDX19 Day 1: Empowered Trailblazers and New Technologies

Day 1 of TrailheaDX ’19 (#TDX19) is a wrap and there is LOTS to unpack! We celebrated empowered Trailblazers in our Opening Keynote hosted by Salesforce co-founder and CTO Parker Harris and introduced some new Salesforce technologies. We also featured a couple of super sessions on Salesforce Blockchain (One of the new Salesforce technologies we announced!) and Salesforce DX.

Catch up on some of the highlights below.

Opening Keynote

We kicked off #TDX19 with a Keynote featuring stories and demos inspired by just a few of our Trailblazers, plus some surprises! Senior director of Trailhead evangelism Leah McGowen-Hare led a demo for Salesforce Blockchain. Trailhead GM Sarah Franklin talked about the Trailblazer Community and Trailhead’s role in workforce development, then spoke with RAD Women co-founder Angela Mahoney.

In the Build chapter, SVP of product management Ryan Ellis announced that Lightning Web Components is now open source. In the Integrate chapter, developer evangelist Zayne Turner introduced MuleSoft API Community Manager and Commerce APIs.

All three of our featured Trailblazers (Angela, Susannah St-Germain of Boston Scientific, and Phillip Connaughton of ASICS) were announced as the newest Golden Hoodie recipients! The announcement of TrailheaDX India was another highlight of our eventful Keynote.

Introduction to Blockchain for CRM

The announcement of Salesforce Blockchain excited our Trailblazer Community at #TDX19 and on Twitter. Salesforce Blockchain is a new, low-code blockchain platform connected to CRM so organizations can securely collaborate and share data across third parties. Our first super session of the conference built on the intro in the Opening Keynote, diving deep into blockchain technologies.

Salesforce <3 DX

Our second super session of the day was a delight for our developers. Our product experts talked more about Lightning Web Components open source, plus the latest in package-based development and developer tools including Heroku.

We have lots of blog posts and trailmixes for you to learn all about today’s announcements.

Stay tuned to @SalesforceDevs for more live sessions and fun in Day 2, and keep sharing your #CodeGoals with us on Twitter! If you couldn’t join us on-site this time around, we hope you can join your local Trailblazer Community at a #TDX19 Global Gathering. RSVP to one today!
