ere is great excitement and interest from developers in India to learn about cloud computing. Prem Shankar, Bangalore’s Force.com Developer community leader with his cloud computing peers Janakiram and Vinod took the bull by the horn and engaged with the Developer Force programs team to launch  the 1st meetup in Bangalore, India. The evening was full of fun, food and lots of learning.                                                                                             

We were grateful for Prem to quickly organize the meetup with a group of 30 expert developers a t Papa Johns, while Nick Tran, Director of Develop Force programs and I were in India. Nick talked about the what, why and how of the Force.com platform and answered tough questions these hungry developers had. He also emphasized on the growing need from  customers to build Force.com apps and the lack of Force.com developers. Finally, the entrepreneurs in the room were happy to know that they can build apps and deploying it on AppExchange. The opportunity is “Big”!
