Earlier this week we installed an application called CraigsForce to the Chatter Dev Zone. CraigsForce is an application that allows all users in an organization to post ads to buy, sell, give away, borrow and trade goods. It is all within-organization, meaning the trust factor among users is high.

I have personally worked in a couple of very large companies (>100k people) where this kind of exchange would have been very useful and welcome. This application is the essence of utilizing a community network to have access to the kinds of goods and services you want, and your peers might recommend. Try it out!

Another application that we installed today is called Chatter Flow, a visualizer that allows you to use a slider to view posts and updates by users and objects that you are following, and easily scroll forwards and backwards. The application is based on the Content Flow open source project, and could be a pretty interesting basis for a possible Chatter Developer Challenge entry?

Speaking of, submissions for the Challenge are going to be opening soon. If you haven't started your killer app, don't fret, there's still time. We won't be closing entries until sometime in the first half of June, so you still have a lot of time to cook up something cool. If you need more information, hit this page

Try out those apps in the Chatter Dev Zone and let us know what you think!
