If you have not already heard, the June 7th Chicago Force.com Developer Meetup at DePaul University was a hit. We had close to 80 developers from Chicago and surrounding cities and two of them even drove four hours from Iowa…WOW and WOW.

The Intro to Force.com with a hands-on lab track for beginners was delivered by our ISV Evangelist, Shoby Adbi and the advanced track was delivered by our App Evangelist, Reid Carlberg and Developer Evangelist, Joshua Birk. This track was a deeper dive into using the REST with Apex and Oauth for third party applications as well as building out HTML5 interfaces using JavaScript Remoting and Dynamic Visualforce components.

The evening was full of fun, food and learning and rewarding to the developer community. Due to the great interest, two of the developers also showed interest in becoming the Chicago Force.com Developer User Group leaders. We are looking forward to supporting them and the local developer community.

If you are interested in being a Force.com Developer User Group Leader, please email us at info@developerforce.com.
