It’s the day before Cloudforce + Cloudstock. (There is still time to register. Did I mention it’s free?) I’m sitting in the DevZone on the first floor of Moscone West with forklifts beeping and an impressive amount of technology humming all around me to create what is going to be the biggest Cloud developer conference I have ever seen. The smell of fresh carpet hangs in the air, and my ears are still ringing from keynote dryruns. (Where else do you get to hear Metallica blasted through a stadium quality sound system for a tech event!). This is going to be huge!
Over the years we have done a bunch of developer events – big, small, and Dreamforce massive. One of my favorite activities is always the Cloud Trivia sessions. If you haven’t been to one before, think of your traditional pub trivia where we throw out some questions around Cloud technologies, and offer amazing prizes to the winners. For Cloudstock, we are bringing the session to the big screen in the DevZone. Make sure you join as at 6:45pm – 7:30pm and test your skills.
Oh, and yes, I did say prizes. For our first place winner we have Jambox, second place wins a Roku, and last place gets to try and keep Force.fern alive a little longer (apparently the Developer Marketing team can build amazing apps and huge developer events, but we struggle on the whole green thumb thing – I just don’t get why I can’t pinch ‘n’ zoom it to make the plant grow??).
You don’t have to win to walk away a winner though. Apart from increasing your Cloud coding knowledge, we have a collection of developer schwag like hoodies, and books to give away. If you squint your eyes really hard now, you might even be able to picture me in my blue Force.com hoodie now. (Not that I recommend squinting especially if you are driving)
So, help save the Force.fern, increase your Cloud knowledge, have a drink with other developers, and see you tomorrow!
