Salesforce is a proud sponsor of Hack City, which takes place the weekend of September 20, 2013 in San Francisco. If you’re not familiar with the Hack City program, I encourage you to check it out as events take place all over the world. For those of you who are in San Francisco (or who might be interested in making a visit for the weekend), I’ll be at Hack City next weekend along with Ryan Upton and Raja Rao DV. We’ve got amazing prizes to award, including a $4,500 grand prize that just might find you on stage at Dreamforce as well!

Hack City is about getting developers and entrepreneurs together with city officials and thought leaders to look at ways data and technology can benefit society. For this event, we’ll be hacking around the theme of resiliency. How can we use technology to encourage citizens to better prepare for natural disasters, or track their environmental impact? What could you build if you combined large amounts of environmental data with your favorite mobile development platform?

At Hack City, we’ll look at these and similar challenges. There’s over $15,000 in prizes up for grabs, so this is a hack you do not want to miss! You can get the full details on the Hack City site, and register to attend. Ryan, Raja, and I look forward to seeing the Salesforce Developer community on September 20th!
