You asked for it, we’re delivering: the Salesforce Women in Technology Salon. Reminiscent of the intellectual salons that began in the late 17th century during the Enlightenment and continue in various forms today, I see this as a place for technical women to connect, debate, and share their expertise.

Join us Monday, November 18, 2013 in the Dreamforce ’13 DevZone for coffee, conversation, and powerful Table Talks by leading women from and the community. The Women in Technology Salon will be open from 9am-1pm. Drop by anytime, and be sure not to miss these Table Talks:

Join hundreds of your peers for an evening of thought-provoking discussion and networking. The event will focus on the hot topic of Growing Your Career. A panel featuring leading women technologists from Silicon Valley and beyond will share insights into how best to grow your career. This event is open to both employees and customers. We also welcome attendees from every job role—developers, marketers, and engineers. Drinks and appetizers will be served.

This Sunday night event is not in Agenda Builder yet, due to technical difficulties, but [Update 10/16/2013] there is a workaround: simply click here and it will take you to the session record. From there, you can book the session into your agenda.

To stay connected with other Dreamforce women, join the Girly Geeks Chatter Group in the Dreamforce org.  Big shout out to Geraldine Gray for starting the group and keeping it going with her endless energy!  They have 971 members as of this writing…and offering a prize for #1000!  [Update 10/16/2013: the group hit 1000 members yesterday!]

After years of hanging out with the rockin’ Salesforce Admin crowd, I am looking forward to meeting our awesome Developers in the Dev Zone. If you are presenting or have a must-see session you want to share, please add a comment or give me a shout out on Twitter at @rockchick322004. See you in November!

Yes! Great suggestion. Dreamforce is a place where developers are thinking about learning new skills, upping their game and preparing for that next opportunity.

  • Wendie Hipolito

Is there still space at the Sunday event? Just found this info and would love to attend. However, due to a technical glitch that Dreamforce is working on fixing, I’m not able to click the “work around” link you posted to go to the session and register. Is there another way? Or if you post the name of the session, I should be able to access from the DF app (vs. online).

Are there any events scheduled tomorrow or Wednesday?

    • MaryScotton

Hi Rebecca, I just saw this comment, so apologies for the late reply. No, there are no events today and none yesterday. But, next year I’d like to go BIGGER. Would love to hear your ideas. You can ping me in the DF chatter app if you want to connect today or tomorrow around the Dev Zone.
