We are happy to announce a new Force.com library, Mobile Components for Visualforce, that helps simplify the development of hybrid mobile apps built on Force.com. The framework contains lightweight Visualforce UI components for generating cross-platform HTML5 output that runs well on tablets (and smartphones, soon). You can deploy apps in the browser or embed them inside the hybrid container from the Salesforce Mobile SDK.

Get Started with Mobile Components for Visualforce

Want to get started? Then check out Introducing Mobile Components for Visualforce in our Technical Library for a quick introduction to this new library. And please remember that Mobile Components for Visualforce is a open source initiative. The broader Force.com community should feel free to fork, modify, and create new components. We will gladly integrate useful push requests into the main distribution branch.
