Hello Appquest
AppQuest ’11 at Dreamforce, our contest to find the next superstar cloud app, kicked off earlier this month and we’re excited to see what people come up with. To get your creative juices flowing, we want to remind you that the Force.com Developer Edition you registered with when entering the contest gives you access to the Chatter REST API Developer Preview.

What can you do with the Chatter API? Well, for one, it allows you to integrate mobile apps, intranet sites, and 3rd party web applications with Chatter. It also provides resources for feeds, comments, likes, users, groups, group members, and followers – using a REST-based API.

So the question really is, what will YOU do with it?

Get started with the Chatter API here. And if you’re looking for a quick ramp up, sign up for the Chatter API webinar coming your way, June 28th.

Haven’t registered for AppQuest ’11 yet? Go to it! Submissions are due July 15th. Top 4 finalists get an all expenses paid trip to Dreamforce ’11, where they get to present on stage, in front of an expert panel of judges. Winner is picked live, and gets a sweet 1-year marketing package for their app from salesforce.com.

Got what it takes to be the next cloud idol? Sign up for AppQuest ’11 today.

AppQuest ’11 at Dreamforce contest rules UPDATE: We also wanted to point out that the official contest rules have been revised to clarify the eligibility of all US companies to participate, including public companies. You can download consult the revised rules here.
