Cloud Partner Ecosystems: Opportunity and Necessity

Go-for-launch_mdThe title of this post was the title of my presentation on cloud opportunity for the systems integrator and ISV—and the necessity of embracing it, not ignoring and certainly not denying it—at the Ingram Micro Cloud Summit conference in Dallas, early in June of this year.

Blogger Louis Columbus discusses Ingram's Cloud Conduit initiative, a useful existence proof of a partner/reseller strategy that fully "gets" the cloud, and includes a four-minute video excerpt from my Cloud Summit presentation that makes my core case for partner economics on cloud platforms (as I've previously offered on this blog).

A full-length video of my conference presentation, just under an hour long, is now on line along with other Cloud Summit content including a link to download my presentation deck. I welcome discussion of how the cloud expands and accelerates the opportunities for application development and business process improvement.

  • Hi Peter,
Thank you for mentioning my blog and thanks for freely sharing your insights and knowledge. I continue to learn much from your speeches and presentations, as others do as well.
The Ingram Cloud Initiative is fascinating to watch evolve. A resellers’ ability to provide their long-time accounts with Cloud-based solutions, and how that sales process works, is I think a leading indicator of Cloud adoption into each market segment.
Thanks again and I look forward to your future posts and presentations.
    Best Regards,
