You want to be sure your app is compelling from the moment a prospect is introduced, to when your customer is using it everyday as part of their business.  Are you writing apps?  Do you want to know more about user experience?  Well I'll be co-presenting with Ian Swinson (our resident User Experience expert) on User Experience Best Practices: How to Build Force.com Apps Users Will Love. First Dreamforce, then Partner Summit!

Dreamforce continues to amaze me with exciting technology announcements (Force.com Sites, Force.com for Amazon Web Services, Force.com for Facebook), influential speakers (Michael Dell, Larry Brilliant, Malcolm Gladwell), and a never-ending energy. Partner Summit is open to all Dreamforce attendees. Whether you are new to our various Partner Programs or a veteran Partner, ISV, SI – there’s much to learn and see at the Partner Summit. We’ll begin with an update on salesforce.com’s

Day 2 at DreamForce – personalizing customer experience, Malcolm Gladwell and more…

Another information packed day here in San Francisco on a very historic day. The morning keynote highlighted how to sell more effectively and build closer relationships with your customer through Salesforce applications. One demo in particular stood out for me – the use case was that of sending some collateral to a prospect. Instead of sending an e-mail with multiple attachments, the demo showed how you can use Sites to push the document to a personalized site and send the URL to your prospect. Now not only will you not be filling up your prospect’s e-mail system, you can also… Continue reading

Dreamforce Day 1 – Amazon announcement and more….

Wow!  What a day and it is not yet over.  The keynote, the sessions and the Sites Hackathon are over and now it is party time – I can hear the Foo Fighters playing in the background.  This is actually my second Dreamforce, I presented at the very first Dreamforce as a Salesforce partner back in 2003.  At that time, there were a few hundred attendees, the Web Services API was in version 1.0, and I don’t think the term Cloud Computing was even around.  Today, there are almost 10,000 attendees here, version 14 of the API is in GA… Continue reading
