# Access Predictive Endpoints with REST

The predictive endpoints of the Models API are REST-only. Authenticate with the same JWT flow used by the generative endpoints, then `POST` to the predictive endpoint for the capability you need.

## Authenticate

Predictive endpoints use the same JWT authentication flow as the generative REST endpoints. To create an external client app, generate a JWT, and set up your authorization header, see [Authenticate to the Models API](/docs/ai/agentforce/guide/models-api-authentication.md).

## Call a Predictive Endpoint

Predictive endpoints follow this shape:

POST /einstein/platform/v1/models/{modelApiName}/{method}
```

Where `{method}` is one of:

| Capability           | Endpoint Path           | Predicts                          |
| -------------------- | ----------------------- | --------------------------------- |
| Regression           | `/regression`           | A continuous numeric value.       |
| Forecast             | `/forecast`             | Future values of a time series.   |
| Classification       | `/classification`       | A probability per class.          |
| Multi-Outcome        | `/multi-outcome`        | Several outcomes for each record. |
| Topic Classification | `/topic-classification` | Caller-supplied topics for texts. |
| Sentiment Detection  | `/sentiment-detection`  | Sentiment for a batch of texts.   |
