The Salesforce Commerce API relies on a central infrastructure for routing and serving the API responses. This infrastructure is separate from the standard B2C Commerce Cloud POD infrastructure to provide robust scaling and performance.
Current region deployments:
- US East
- EMEA (Frankfurt)
- APAC (Sydney)
All B2C Commerce Cloud instances can access the Salesforce Commerce API. As part of the routing that occurs with a given short code, the incoming API request is routed to the closest deployed region based on the POD location for your realm (see Commerce API Configuration Values for more information). When new regions are added, the routing of existing short codes automatically occurs.
The addition of more regions is a constant roadmap item as usage of the Salesforce Commerce API continues to increase. We will update this page with new region information as it is deployed.
