Get Started with Salesforce Marketplaces

Marketplace Management is a managed package that allows the Marketplace Operator to manage their sellers, follow KPIs, and execute daily activities using a Lightning app.

Atonit Marketplace Package

The Marketplace B2C Commerce Cartridges provide you a reference architecture for the Marketplace end-user storefront experience. They can be easily added to any storefront based on the Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA).

There are different cartridges available. Each one is responsible for a new service or component that can be added to the storefront.

Cartridges

  • Plugin (atonit_marketplace_plugin) Customizes the front end. Controls all interactive and visual features, including controllers, templates, and more. Doesn’t process back-end functions.
  • Int (atonit_marketplace_int) Integrates the Salesforce Marketplace Managed Package.
  • Buybox (atonit_marketplace_buybox) Shows different seller offers in a Product Display Page.
  • Checkout (atonit_marketplace_checkout_sfcc) Splits the cart and the order per seller and allows customers to finish their order. Customers can insert their address, select the better shipping method per seller, review all products added to the cart grouped by sellers and also insert the payment information.
  • BASE (atonit_marketplace_base) An internal cartridge that works as an integration accelerator. The atonit_marketplace_int cartridge requires the atonit_marketplace_base cartridge.

The middleware toolkit is a connection tier that syncs all data between B2C Commerce and Salesforce Marketplaces.

While using Salesforce Marketplaces, you’ll see occasional references to Atonit, which was the name of the company that originally developed these technologies. Atonit was acquired by Salesforce in 2022, and we’re still in the process of rebranding.
