Create a Google Ads Data Stream

Create a data stream to start the data flow from your Google Ads source to Data Cloud.

  1. In Data Cloud, on the Data Streams tab, click New.

  2. Under Other Sources, select Google Ads, and click Next.

  3. Select the Google Ads connection.

  4. From the Available Objects tab, select the object that you want to import.

You can only use an object one time per connection.

  5. In the Source field, enter Google Ads.

  6. Click Next.

  7. Under Data Lake Object, create a new DLO or select the DLO for the selected object. For example, if you select the Campaign Level Audience View object, select Campaign Level Audience View from the dropdown. The data type is assigned automatically.

  8. From the right column, click the empty fields and select the required option from the dropdown. After you map a field, it’s removed from the list and can’t be selected again.

When mapping the Event Date field, enter a date and time. The data type changes to DateTime.

  9. Click Next.

  10. Select the refresh mode.

Incremental Only new data is added to the dataset. Your table must have a primary key and a datetime column to determine the date and time a row was last modified. For Record Modified Date-time, select the field to tag records that have changed. Optionally, identify the column to flag for soft deletes.
  11. Select a start and end date to bring in Data.

If you don’t select a start and end date, the connector initially brings in 180 days of historical data prior to the current date. After the initial import, the connector brings in data 7 days prior to the current date.

  12. Set the frequency to daily and set a time.

  13. ClickDeploy.

Repeat these steps for each object field.

When the Last Run Status is successful, you can see how many records are processed and the total number of records loaded.
