Set Up a Asana Connection (Beta)
Set up the Asana connection to start the flow of data into Data Cloud.
This feature is a Beta Service. A customer may opt to try a Beta Service in its sole discretion. Any use of the Beta Service is subject to the applicable Beta Services Terms provided at Agreements and Terms. Before you begin:
- Enable the Beta connector through the feature manager. See Enable Data Cloud Features.
- Verify your admin has enabled firewalls on the system you want Data Cloud to connect to by including these IP addresses to your allowlists.
- Set up OAuth based authentication with OpenID.
- Create external and named credentials for the Asana Connector.

In Data Cloud, click Setup, and select Data Cloud Setup.

Under External Integrations, select Other Connectors.

Click New.

On the Source tab, select Asana and click Next.

Enter a connection name, connection API name, and provide the authentication and connection details.

For Authentication Details, select the Named Credential that was created for the Asana Connector from the dropdown.

For Connection Details, provide details for the following parameters.
- For Workspace ID, enter the globally unique identifier (gid) associated with your Asana Workspace.
- To determine out your Asana Workspace ID, log into Asana. Go to your Tasks page in Asana. Your Workspace ID is the numbers at the end of the URL.
- Alternatively, make sure you're logged into Asana. Go to
https://app.asana.com/api/1.0/workspaces
. A JSON object with your Workspace Name and ID is displayed there.
- For Project ID, enter the gid associated with your Asana Project.
- To figure out your Project ID, find your project’s Overview page in Asana.
- In the page’s URL, the Project ID is the set of numbers after /0/.
- For the Include Custom Fields checkbox, set based on whether or not to include custom fields in the column listing. If you check the box, custom fields may be added to the Tasks, SubTasks, and PortfolioItems tables.
- For Workspace ID, enter the globally unique identifier (gid) associated with your Asana Workspace.

To review your configuration, click Test Connection.

Click Save.
After the connector details are accepted, the connection is created and listed under Connectors. You can now create data streams.
