Set Up an Epicor Kinetic Connection (Beta)
Set up the Epicor Kinetic connection to start the flow of data into Data Cloud.
This feature is a Beta Service. A customer may opt to try a Beta Service in its sole discretion. Any use of the Beta Service is subject to the applicable Beta Services Terms provided at Agreements and Terms. To create a connection: | System Administrator |
Before you begin:
- Enable the Beta connector through the feature manager. See Enable Data Cloud Features.
- Verify your admin has enabled firewalls on the system you want Data Cloud to connect to by including these IP addresses to your allowlists.
- Set up OAuth based authentication for Microsoft.
- Create external and named credentials.

In Data Cloud, click Setup, and select Data Cloud Setup.

Under External Integrations, select Other Connectors.

Click New.

On the Source tab, select Epicor Kinetic and click Next.

Enter a connection name and connection API name.

For Authentication Details, first select the Authentication Method that you want to use from the dropdown.

For basic authentication, enter the username and password to authenticate the user.

Optionally, enter an API Key value (either a UID or base 64).

For named credentials, select a Named Credential from the dropdown and an optional API key.

For Connection Details, complete these inputs.

For the URL, provide the hostname and port. The URL ends with: .(epicorsaas|EpicorSaas).com.

Enter your instance name for the ERP Instance.

Enter a value for Service.

Optionally select the API Version that you want to use based on the JSON.

If using OAuth, enter a text-based Azure Tenant, the application ID on Azure.

To review your configuration, click Test Connection.

Click Save.
After the connector details are accepted, the connection is created and listed under Connectors. You can now create data streams.
