# Set Up a Heretto Connection

Set up the Heretto connection as the first step to importing your Heretto content into Data 360. After you create the connection, create an [Unstructured Data Lake Object (UDLO)](/docs/data/data-cloud-int/guide/c360-a-create-a-heretto-udlo.md) to complete the dataflow.

Before you begin:

- Verify that you’ve [Created a Staging Area](/docs/data/data-cloud-int/guide/c360-a-staging-area.md#create-a-staging-area) and saved your username and hostname.

1. In Data 360, click **Setup**, and select **Data Cloud Setup**.
2. Under **External Integrations**, select **Other Connectors**.
3. Click **New**.
4. Select **Heretto** and enter a **Connection Name** and an **API Name** (Data 360 requires both).
5. In the **Staging Area** dropdown, select the staging area you created in [Working with a Staging Area](/docs/data/data-cloud-int/guide/c360-a-staging-area.md#create-a-staging-area).
6. Click **Test Connection**.
   - Data 360 verifies that the connection to the staging area is successful.
   - Follow the instructions on the screen if the connection fails.
7. After the connection test passes, **Save** your changes.
