Set Up a Jira Connection

Create a connection to ingest data from Jira into Data Cloud.

Before you begin:

  • Review IP addresses to make sure that the Jira connector has the necessary access.
  1. In Data Cloud, click Setup, and select Data Cloud Setup.

  2. Under Configuration, select Connectors.

  3. On the Source tab, select Jira and click Next.

  4. Enter a connection name, connection API name, and provide the authentication and connection details.

  5. For Authentication Details, first select an Authentication Method from the dropdown.

    1. For API token, enter a username and an API token. To generate an API token in Jira, see Using Personal Access Tokens.

    2. For Named Credential, select a Named Credential from the dropdown.

    3. For both, optionally add an SSL Server Certificate.

  6. For Connection URL, enter the URL ending with .atlassian.net.

  7. To review your configuration, click Test Configuration.

  8. Click Save.

After the connector details are accepted, the connection is created and ready to use. It’s listed under Connectors. You can now create data streams.
