Connect a Website or Mobile App to Data Cloud
Connect your mobile applications and website source. By connecting your mobile applications and website sources, you can capture online data and control the scope of data ingestion and activation.

To set up a web or mobile app connection: | One of these permission sets:

Go to Data Cloud Setup and click Web & Mobile Apps.

Click New.

Enter the app name, and select the connector type, either a website or mobile app.
If you want to change your app name later, click Edit.

To select a JSON Event Type schema file from your computer, click Upload Files in the Schema block. You can also drag the file onto the dashboard.
You can now preview your JSON schema. To verify your Event Category, Field data types, Primary Key and whether a field is marked as required, use the preview.

Confirm that all events and fields are populated accordingly and save your work.
You can view all created event types for this schema.

After your schema is uploaded, compare it with your JSON schema file for accuracy.

To change your schema at any point, click Update Schema.
You can only add events or fields, the schema must retain all previous events and fields.

To update your schema, click Yes, Update or to view the full schema you uploaded, click View Full Schema.

(Optional) Add UTM and custom parameters.

From the Optional Information to Capture section, click Define URL parameters.

Select the checkbox to enable capture of standard UTM parameters.

To add a custom parameter, click Add Custom Parameter, and enter a name for the parameter.

Enter a name for the Website or Mobile Source and click Save.
Your schema is created. Data Cloud ingests data from the website and mobile apps. Engagement data is collected every 15 minutes while profile data is collected every hour.
