Use Case for Basket Configuration

You can configure a Wireless Mobile product offer and apply a promotion for monthly data. The promotion for monthly data is defined as having two price adjustments:

  • $10 off per month for accounts that are identified as Platinum Members.

  • $5 off per month for accounts that are identified as Gold Members.

When you apply the promotion for data to the Wireless Mobile product offering, there is a context eligibility rule that determines if the user’s account is Platinum or Gold to determine the correct price adjustments ($10 off or $5 off). You can override a price for a child item based on the bundle you configure.

For example, you can configure the Wireless Mobile product bundle and set the child item quantity from 0 to 1 to indicate that the subscriber is interested in that child item, in this case, the monthly data plan. When adding the monthly data plan to the Wireless Mobile product bundle, you can set the Override Price that is conditionally applied based on a context eligibility rule:

  • Child Items NRC = 10, MRC = 0 for Accounts that are identified as Platinum.

  • Child Items NRC = 5, MRC = 0 for Accounts that are identified as Gold
