Industry API
Industry APIs are developed in compliance with TM Forum standards. These are inbound APIs exposed on top of Salesforce Communications Cloud, enabling external systems to seamlessly interact with Salesforce data models.
For the Spring'26 and Summer'26 releases, customers can access the inbound APIs using either of the following methods.
- Mule Gateway: Access APIs through the MuleSoft endpoints.
- Direct Access: Bypass MuleSoft gateway and invoke the APIs directly through Connect/Apex REST endpoints.
Both access methods are supported to provide flexibility and ensure backward compatibility during the transition period.
Starting from the Winter ’26 release, only the Direct Access option will be supported. The MuleSoft gateway option will be deprecated, and customers must update their integrations to use the Connect/Apex REST endpoints for continued access to the inbound APIs.
