Custom Permission Set and Product Publish Event

After completing the prerequisites mentioned in Before You Begin, the following components will be made available OOB in the CMT managed package for executing TMF 620 Outbound.

  • Custom permission set TMF 620 Outbound
  • Custom object Product Publish Event
  • Quick action Publish

Following section section assumes that there is an existing permission set or a new permission set is created to enable access of object/record access of Product Publish Event custom object through Publish History tab and Product Publish Events list view.

  1. Click your name. Click Switch to Lightning Experience.
  2. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission Sets, and then select Permission Sets.
  3. Select TMF Catalog Manager permission set.
  4. Click Object Settings available under Apps section.
  5. Click Product Publish Events object, then click Edit.
  6. In the Object Permissions section, enable Read, Create and Edit permissions for the object.
  7. In the Field Permissions section, select Read Access and Edit Access for all the fields.
  8. Click Save.

To publish a product offer to an external system, Publish button needs to be enabled for the users. For this, users must have the custom permission set TMF 620 Outbound to be added to their user records through permission set along with the org permission Industries CPQ. This section assumes that a new permission set is created or there is an existing permission set with the name TMF Catalog Manager. Perform the following steps to add the custom permission to it.

  1. Click your name. Click Switch to Lightning Experience.
  2. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission Sets, and then select Permission Sets.
  3. Select TMF Catalog Manager permission set.
  4. Click Custom Permissions available under Apps section.
  5. Select TMF 620 Outbound from the available custom Permissions. Click Add and click Save.
