# LongSfid()

Returns an 18-character Salesforce ID when provided with a 15-character ID.

## Syntax

LongSFID(shortSfid)
```

The `LongSFID()` function has one parameter:

- `shortSfid` (string): Required. A 15-character Salesforce ID.

## Usage

To use the function, pass it a shortened 15-character Salesforce ID.

  Var @shortId, @longId
  Set @shortId = "0036000000QKv5T"
  Set @longId = LongSfid(@shortId)
]%%

<p>The long ID is %%=v(@longId)=%%</p>
```

The example returns `0036000000QKv5TAAT`.
