Version 1.1.0 of the Android SDK has been tested with Firebase Cloud Messaging version 25.0.1. The minimum compatible Android API version is 26. The SDK is compiled with Android API version 36 and depends on Java version 17, Koltin version 2.2.21.

Version 1.1.0 of the SDK is a major release that includes:

• In-App Messaging feature module.
• Support for tracking Custom events defined in the Mobile App Messaging UI.
• Faster event sending from the SDK to the Mobile App Messaging Platform and support for real-time sending of high-priority events.
• Performance improvements and bug fixes.

Released November 6, 2025

Version 1.0.0 of the Android SDK has been tested with Firebase Cloud Messaging version 24.0.2. The minimum compatible Android API version is 26. The SDK is compiled with Android API version 36 and depends on Java version 17, Koltin version 1.9.22.

Version 1.0.0 is an initial release and includes support for:

• Mobile App Messaging in Marketing Cloud Next
• Basic and Advanced Push Notifications

Version 2.0.0 of the SDK is a major release that introduces the In-App Messaging feature module. The minimum compatible iOS API version is 12.
