# Connect Postman to Salesforce

Directly execute queries using the REST client Postman. Postman replaces the legacy Workbench tool as the recommended solution to explore and test Salesforce APIs.

To interact with GraphQL API, use the [Postman Collection](https://www.postman.com/salesforce-developers/workspace/salesforce-developers/folder/12721794-23e285e8-51bd-438a-a130-847f1e3e6d7b?ctx=documentation). The Postman Collection comes with a configurable environment and variables that let you easily authenticate. Send requests to multiple Salesforce orgs with a declarative interface.

## Prerequisites

[Salesforce Developer Edition](https://developer.salesforce.com/signup)

## Install Postman

Before you can connect Postman to Salesforce, fork and configure the collection. See the [installation instructions](https://github.com/forcedotcom/postman-salesforce-apis#installation).
