Creating a Connected App

To enable your mobile app to connect to the Salesforce service, you need to create a connected app. The connected app includes a consumer key, a prerequisite to all development scenarios in this guide.

Connected apps creation is restricted as of Spring ‘26. You can continue to use existing connected apps during and after Spring ‘26. However, we recommend using external client apps instead.
