Android Current Deprecations

These lists show currently deprecated Mobile SDK objects and artifacts for Android, as annotated in the source files. The deprecations are organized by class. Use this information to prepare for the removal of these artifacts in the release indicated.

Deprecated in 14.0 for removal in 15.0. Setting this flag to false selects the OAuth user-agent flow, which is deprecated. The web server flow is used for WebView login going forward. This flag can be removed sooner than 15.0 if the server no longer supports the user-agent flow. Remove any code that sets this flag to false.

Deprecated in 14.0 for removal in 15.0. Advanced authentication is the default. This flag is removed when WebView login is removed.

Deprecated in 14.0 for removal in 15.0. The IDP / SP login flow has no drop-in replacement. Migrate to advanced authentication. The following public APIs on SalesforceSDKManager, along with the identity provider classes and interfaces in the com.salesforce.androidsdk.auth.idp package (including IDPManager, SPManager, and SPConfig) and the LoginActivity.onIDPLoginClick() override point, are deprecated.

Deprecated in 14.0 for removal in 15.0. TestAuthenticationActivity is incompatible with DPoP. It remains available only in debug builds.
