Hello,

Perhaps, you need to install the special Lightning Now Developer Edition Org (it is not the common free Dev Org as usual)

It refers to Dreamhouse Classic app
Where is it to be found ?

Sign Up for the Lightning Now Developer Edition Org : http://developer.salesforce.com/promotions/orgs/lightningnow/

There is no problem.

Hi,

Well I suppose you need to create to app but in my case I am stuck in this section as well (Improve Your Classic App by Moving It to Lightning Experience - Make Your Classic App Available in Lightning Experience).
I created an App called 'Dreamhouse Classic App', I followed the instruction of the section, and still I receive an error message saying :
"Challenge Not yet complete... here's what's wrong: The 'Dreamhouse Classic App' doesn't appear to be visible in Lightning Experience."

I tried various App names as I was guessing it was tricky on that but it didn't change anything. Anybody managed to pass this section ?

Thanks for the help !

Hello, Well, I did the same. If you follow the instructions, (create that "Dreamhouse Classic App" in Salesforce Classic, then App Manager - Edit - click enable/visible in lightning experience) then you pass this step but later, when it comes to the Report, I re-created a report but it fails saying the report doesn't appear to be using a scatter chart (and it is) Can you try to proceed and tell me if you get stuck at the same place ? many thanks *Christophe Bouchet* Technical Solution Architect Cloud Services | Salesforce Mobile: +33 (0)6 25 14 80 05

If someone helps you on this forum, the good practice is to closed the question selecting a best answer (yours if you want).

https://developer.salesforce.com/forums/ForumsMain?id=906F00000008uPkIAI  (the most popular question on this forum)

Steve Molis is "All Star" here and on other Salesforce forums seems to be disguted because many people are poorly educated on this forum particularly.  Many good experts don't come back here because of this problem (they give ten or more good answers without any closed question question). It is a pity.

For those looking for the Dreamforce Classic app... I could not find it after trying EVERYTHING... 3 hours later on a 15 minute question..

To solve this...

The app musted be named "Dreamhouse Classic" and not "Dreamhouse Classic App". That's what kept me puzzled for ten minutes and finally lead me to this website. :-)

Robert Knipp's post fixed this for me.

Thanks for this, I spent way too much time trying to get this to work and then found you post! My app was called Dreamhouse Classic, not dreamforce though.

Hello,

I've renamed the app name from "Dreamhouse Classic app" to "Dreamhouse Classic". Then it worked.

Thanks,
Sri.

Yves Asselin's technique worked for me, thanks!

If you are creating the Dreamhouse app manually, the API name needs to be "Dreamhouse_Classic" and NOT "Dreamhouse_Classic_App"

Now that Lightning Experience is enabled in your environment, it’s time to make your custom app, Dreamhouse Classic, available to your Lightning Experience users.
If you’re just getting started with Lightning Experience and want to explore what your Classic App will look like, we can do this with just a few clicks. However, while this is a fast and easy way to make your Classic App visible in Lightning Experience, it’ll still have some limitations. Later on, we’ll finish our Lightning Experience migration by creating a brand-new Lightning app for Dreamhouse.

Switch to Lightning Experience

First, switch to Lightning Experience for yourself, so you can start exploring and building. When you enable Lightning Experience for yourself and your users, all users will still have the option to switch back and forth between Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic experience from the profile menu.
  1. In your Lightning Now DE, click Switch to Lightning Experience.

Note: You can also click your name in the menu, and select Switch to Lightning Experience.

With Regards,
Protar Smith

Install the package Dreamhouse,

https://trailhead.salesforce.com/modules/platform_dev_basics/units/platform_dev_basics_intro

Scroll to the bottom of this page.
Click the arrow next to Launch and select Create a Trailhead Playground. Don’t skip this step! You need to use a fresh and clean Trailhead Playground for this module.
Once your TP is created (it takes a minute!), press Launch.
In your TP’s URL, replace everything following lightning.force.com with: /packagingSetupUI/ipLanding.app?apvId=04tB00000009UeX. Your URL should look similar to https://playful-raccoon-21646-dev-ed.lightning.force.com/packagingSetupUI/ipLanding.app?apvId=04tB00000009UeX.
Select Install for All Users and grant access to all third-party applications.
Once the installation is complete, click Done and then open the App Launcher  in the upper-left corner.
Select the DreamHouse application.
Click the Data Import tab and click Initialize Sample Data. Depending on your screen size, the Data Import tab can be under More in the tab menu.

Nice Information.

I have written a related article on how to Migrate Salesforce Classic to Lightning (https://theninehertz.com/blog/how-to-migrate-salesforce-classic-to-lightning).
