Does the Related Cases count include closed case?

Yes,it includes all the related cases irrespective of status unless you have custom related list section in which you have customized the related cases list based on the status.

Hi Shirisha,

Thanks for your insight. But it was not because I created custom related list. The problem was, it was not updating count as soon as new child case was created. But it took some time to reflect the changes. It was actually a cache problem. Once I cleared the cache the updated count was showing correctly.
