It's not there for all users.  What's needed is clarification on how to get this option if it does not occur in the Personal section.

How do I find this in the Lightning Experience?

For the Lightning Experience, you click on your avatar, followed by clicking "Settings," then directly below "Personal Information" you will find "Reset Security Token"

ok, I was able to enable the security token.  I had to disable the ip range from my profile.

If you can't see the "Reset Security Token" option from your profile, try the link above, I saw it somewhere else and it solved my problem.

Try below link, this works for me. Just replace the [salesforcedomain] with your own salesforcedomain name. https://[salesforcedomain]/_ui/system/security/ResetApiTokenConfirm?retURL=%2Fui%2Fsetup%2FSetup%3Fsetupid%3DPersonalInfo&setupid=ResetApiToken

The link from Li Li 36 may not be working anymore. I used it, and even though the resulting page says: "We sent a new security token to the email address for your account, user@company.com." I never got the email.

I've tried submitting it multiple times now, checked my spam etc. The fact that we are hacking the URL to get to a page, means this is clearly not a supported feature anymore.

So what is the proper way to do this?

Thanks!

I just tried this morning, still works for me, I got the new token from email. https://[salesforcedomain]/_ui/system/security/ResetApiTokenConfirm?retURL=%2Fui%2Fsetup%2FSetup%3Fsetupid%3DPersonalInfo&setupid=ResetApiToken The [salesforcedomain] part need to be changed to your own one, just log into the salesforce and copy the first part of the link, it should work. Hi All,

It seems even if you are System Admin but if your profile has a Login IP Ranges defined, then the Reset Security Option would be invisible.

Just stumbled on the below article:
https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=000182450&type=1

Sharing one of the possible scenarios listed in the above article, for other scenarios, please click on the above help link:

1. Verify if IP Restrictions are added to the Login IP Ranges
If there are any IP range values defined then Reset My Security Token option will not be available.
(E.g. Start IP: 192.162.0.0 _ End IP: 192.162.0.255)

In order for the option Reset My Security Token to appear you will need to first either remove the Login IP Ranges or change the user to a profile that does not have any Login IP Ranges listed.

This just expounds on previous answers. https://[your salesforce domain]/_ui/system/security/ResetApiTokenEdit will take you to the actual reset page.

Hi Mate,

This scenario happens when for your profile , you have IP restrictions enabled. Considering you being system admin, update your IP restrictions to to blank to get reset password option enabled for your profile/user.
