Vice President of IT - Join A Non-Profit Helping The Youth Of Today - Portland, OR

Twenty Recruitment are helping a national Non Profit based out in Portland, Oregon, recruit and Vice President of IT.


Our client is looking for someone who can manage and align their IT systems to larger organizational objectives, allowing the business to support a rapid national expansion effort.


The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the IT strategy and planning, data management, service, risk management, strategic IT initiatives, infrastructure and applications. They will be responsible for keeping current on developments in information systems technology to enable planning for future growth including upgrades and improvements.


Other key responsibilities will include:


•    Developing and implementing a 3-5 year technology roadmap/strategy and staffing plan
•    Designing, developing and managing an enterprise architecture including multiple corporate wide database systems and internal and external facing web infrastructure as well as an incoming Salesforce solution
•    Optimizing data systems to improve organizational ability to store, manipulate and leverage member and donor information;
•    Driving cost savings in all areas of IT in direct relationship to the size and needs of the organization
•    Negotiating contracts and managing vendor relations to ensure contractual requirements are met
•    Collaborating with senior management, IT staff and outside resources to design, develop and maintain effective disaster recovery and business continuity plans


For this role you should have at least 10 years experience of Information Technology management, preferably in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to think strategically and lead a team of IT professionals in execution against set strategy and you should have proven success in both implementation and maintenance of efficient and financially viable systems.


Additionally you should have prior direct experience with customer-or contact management databases, ideally Salesforce and proven success of effectively leading teams of 15-20.


Finally, knowledge of networking and server infrastructure hardware, providers and solutions as well as software development is beneficial.
