How to open google chrome window in Internet Explorer?

Hi All,

I am trying to open google chrome window while clicking on salesforce custom button in Internet Explorer.

I am trying the below javascript code to open chrome browser in internet explorer by clicking on custom button

function openChrome{
var url = 'http://google.co.in';
var chromeCommand = "Chrome --app="+URL+" --allow-outdated-plugins";
var shell = new ActiveXObject("WScript.Shell");
shell.run(chromeCommand);
}

Any help is appreciated!!

You can simply open a Chrome frame using this (https://success.salesforce.com/ideaView?id=08730000000HOIVAA4) feature.

<apex:page showHeader='true' X-UA-Compatible="chrome-1">

My bad - Chrome frame is actually retired (in 2014) and no longer available. Why exactly do you need Chrome? Is there anything that you are not able to handle in IE itself?

No Gaurav. We got requirement to open the above URL in a chrome browser when user clicks salesforce custom button in IE.

Is there any other workaround to do this?
