Coding for Admins

If you’re an admin interested in coding on the Salesforce Platform, then this track is for you. Coding for Admins is designed for everyone who is familiar with declarative development on the Salesforce Platform and would like to understand and start implementing business logic in Apex. First, you’ll learn how to read Apex code, and then you’ll gradually increase your programming skills — from writing single debugging statements to programming multiple, multi-line blocks of code. No previous coding experience is required.

You will learn how to:

• Describe when to use Apex vs. Declarative development
• Write, test, and migrate applications containing debugging statements
• Create Apex classes, Apex triggers, and SOQL queries
• Create, read, update, and delete data using Apex DML
• Describe how governor limits manage shared resources and impact Apex programming

Lightning Web Components is a modern JavaScript programming model for building web applications and interfaces, built on the best of web standards. In this track, you'll learn how to create Lightning Web Components and assemble them into enterprise applications. We'll look at how to build components for use in Lightning Experience and the Salesforce mobile app, how to write less code and do more with your Salesforce data, and how to set up a development environment as well as the tools to build, test, and deploy web components.
