Try Headless 360
In this quick start, you'll connect Claude to Salesforce through Salesforce Hosted MCPs. Salesforce remains the system of record, Salesforce controls sign-in, and Claude can call Salesforce MCP tools only as the logged-in user is allowed to.
1Activate the serversTurn on Salesforce Hosted MCP servers in Setup.2Create the appRegister an external client app for OAuth access.3Connect ClaudeAdd the server, authenticate, and you're live.
What you'll build
- A Salesforce Developer Edition org with Salesforce Hosted MCP servers enabled.
- A Salesforce external client app configured for OAuth access.
- A Claude connector that reads Salesforce records through the
sobject-readsMCP server.
Before you start
You need:
- Access to a Salesforce Developer Edition org, or permission to create one.
- A Claude account with access to add custom connectors or MCP integrations.
- An email inbox you can access for Salesforce and OAuth verification messages.
TIP
Claude UI labels can change. If a screenshot differs from what you see, follow the intent of the step: create a custom connector, point it at the Salesforce Hosted MCP server URL, use OAuth, and sign in with Salesforce.
