Template at a High Level
Analytics Templates technology lets you leverage the effort of creating an Analytics app. When you build an app, you load data into Analytics, transform it, create visualizations from the data, and design dashboards. Instead of having to do all that work themselves, other organizations can use your template to create their own version of an app built by you. -
Template Dissected
When you templatize an app, your create a WaveTemplate object, which is made up of two types of components. -
Choose the Right Tool
You can use either the Salesforce Command Line Interface (CLI) or Workbench API calls to create and manage Analytics templates. This guide provides instructions for using both tools. -
The Process at a Glance
After creating a master app in Analytics, follow these steps to create and work with a template. The next sections of the developer guide provide details about each step.
