Web and Mobile App Connector

Connect your web and mobile apps to Data Cloud to collect customer engagement data. This data helps you customize messages, create automations, or support AI projects. After it’s connected, set up data streams to ingest your data into Data Cloud, allowing you to access and query this data for various uses.

Admins and developers work together to set up web and mobile connections in Data Cloud.

  1. Create a connection in Data Cloud Setup
  2. Build data capture rules (or sitemap)
  3. Create event definitions (also called a schema)
  4. To capture engagement data, add a JavaScript beacon script (or CDN script) to your website or app code
  5. Create a data stream

After a data stream has been created, data can begin flowing in from your web or mobile app. To get started with setup, your sitemap, and schema, see Connect Your Websites and Mobile Apps to Data Cloud.

Data Cloud ingests data from the website and mobile apps depending on the data type. Engagement data is collected every 15 minutes while profile data is collected every hour.

If you’re an admin for Data Cloud, you can see the status of your connector app on the app details page. The status indicates the current state of the connector app.
