Preparing Digital Commerce API Caching

This topic explains how to prepare to use Digital Commerce API Caching.

Perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Vlocity Catalogs tab.

  2. Verify that you have a default price list identified as part of your Vlocity Catalogs/Categories. If you do not have a catalog configured, see Create Product Catalogs. The catalog allows you to identify a subset of products from your shared catalog and make them accessible to the Digital Commerce APIs. Ensure that the items in the catalog are active.

  3. Navigate to the CMT Administration screen, then select Cacheable API Jobs. For more information about running the cacheable API jobs, see Running Cacheable API Jobs.

  4. Run the Load API Metadata job, which should only be run once after a new installation or a release upgrade. The job uploads any new metadata that may have been added to the release.

  5. Run the Populate Cache Job, which initializes the CPQ API cache response.
