Try It Out: Customize the Job Application Record Highlights

Since there are only a few fields, we don’t need to worry about customizing the page layout. It’s a good time, however, to customize the compact layout.

1. From Setup, click Create | Objects.
2. Click Job Application.
3. In the Compact Layouts related list, use the New button to create a compact layout with the following fields. Enter a name in Label, and use the Up and Down buttons to match the order.
   • Job Application Number
   • Status
   • Candidate
   • Position
4. Click Save, and then assign our new compact layout as the primary compact layout for job applications.
