Try It Out: Customize Record Highlights for Employment Websites and Job Postings

Like with our other custom objects, we need to customize the record highlights by creating a new compact layout for each object.

1. From Setup, click Create | Objects.
2. Click Employment Website.
3. In the Compact Layouts related list, use the New button to create a compact layout with the following fields. Enter a name in Label, and use the Up and Down buttons to match the order.
   • Employment Website Name
   • Price Per Post
   • Web Address
   • Maximum Budget
4. Click Save, and then assign our new compact layout as the primary compact layout for employment websites.

Now let’s do the same thing for job posting.

1. From Setup, click Create | Objects.
2. Click Job Posting.
3. In the Compact Layouts related list, use the New button to create a compact layout with the following fields. Enter a name in Label, and use the Up and Down buttons to match the order.
   • Job Posting Number
   • Employment Website
   • Position
4. Click Save, and then assign our new compact layout as the primary compact layout for job postings.
