Update the Package Version in your AppExchange Listing
Each time you upgrade your package, you should update your AppExchange listing to point to the latest version. This ensures all new
customers get the latest version of your app. The upgraded app must
meet the following criteria:
- The app passed the security review within the last year.
- You’ve tested the package with the security scanner and fixed any issues identified.
- The package has the same namespace as the one that passed the security review.
To update the package version in the AppExchange listing:
- Upload the latest version of your package from your packaging organization.
- Log into AppExchange using your APO credentials.
- Click the Your Uploaded Packages tab, to view a list of all uploaded packages. You should see the latest package version that you just uploaded. It can take a few minutes after uploading for it to appear in this list.
- Under the Security Review column, the package version that passed contains the date of passing. Subsequent versions show a status "Never Reviewed" under the same column. Click Start Review for the latest version you just uploaded.
- Fill out the self-evaluation questionnaire and click Submit.
- Your package will be run through the security source scanner, and you’ll receive the results of the scan by email. You must fix any issues listed by the scanner.
- If your app has passed the security review within the last year, your new package version will be auto-approved and its status will change to Reviewed. The status change can take up to 24 hours.
- Edit the public listing for your app and click the Offering tab.
- Under the section "Your Uploaded Packages," click the Change Packages link.
- Move the latest version of the package to the Selected section of the multi-select picklist.
- Select the latest version of the package in the version picklist.
- Click Save.
