Providing a Free Trial on AppExchange using Trialforce

Free trials are only available to eligible partners. For more information on the Partner Program, including eligibility requirements, please visit us at www.salesforce.com/partners.

Note

To provide free trials on AppExchange using Trialforce:
  1. Create a new Trialforce template with your app installed and configured as you want your prospects to experience it. For details, see Setting up Trialforce.
  2. Submit the Trialforce template for review. This review is free and will take considerably less time than the security review for your app. You’ll receive an email once the template is approved.
  3. Link the Trialforce template to your AppExchange listing.
    1. Log into the AppExchange with your publishing organization credentials.
    2. Click Organizations at the top of the publishing home page.
    3. Click Link New Organization.
    4. Enter the credentials for your Trialforce Source Organization and click Save.
    5. Return to the Publishing homepage and click the Trial Templates tab. Hit the refresh link at the bottom of the page. You should now see your template.
  4. Go to your listing, click Edit, and then click the Offering tab.
  5. Select Enable Trials, select your approved template, and click Save.

You're live! Now anyone can access your trial via your Get It Now button on your listing. You can also point people directly to the URL associated with your trial lead form.

When someone clicks Get It Now on your listing, they’ll be given the option to start a free trial with your app pre-installed if they don’t already have a salesforce.com account. After they make this selection, they’ll be prompted to enter the information we typically collect for Salesforce free-trials, and to agree to your terms and conditions and our MSA. After completing this form, the user will receive an email, prompting them to log in and reset their password.
