Introducing Global Publisher Layouts

Global publisher layouts determine which actions appear in the publisher in various pages throughout Salesforce, including the Home tab, Chatter tab, and Chatter group detail pages in the full site, as well as the feed in Salesforce1. Global publisher layouts can include only global actions.

Chatter groups without customers display the global publisher layout by default, unless you override it with a customized group publisher layout. In Chatter groups with customers, the publisher displays only standard actions, such as Post, File, Link, and Poll.

Now that we’ve created all the global actions we need for our recruiters, let’s add them to a global publisher layout.
