Lightning Page Tabs

Before you can include an App Page type of Lightning Page in the Salesforce1 or Lightning Experience navigation menu, you must create a custom tab for it.

In Salesforce Classic, Lightning Page tabs don’t show up on the All Tabs page when you click the plus icon (tab plus icon) that appears to the right of your current tabs. Nor do Lightning Page tabs show up in the Available Tabs list when you customize the tabs for your apps.

Lightning Page tabs only facilitate inclusion of the Lightning Page in the Salesforce1 and Lightning Experience navigation menus.

You can define a Lightning Page tab in XML and deploy it like you would any other custom tab, but we’re going to do it in the full Salesforce site to illustrate the Lightning Page tab’s unique qualities.
