Design for Mobile

When designing a user interface for Salesforce mobile users, keep the smaller form factor and the way users work in mind from the start.

In the mobile paradigm, users work in quick bursts, spending not more than a minute or two on a task. So be sure to design your app for the way users work.

Avoid taking forms and workflow designed for the desktop environment and simply making them available. For example, it may be an acceptable user experience in a desktop Web browser to have a form with many fields and related lists on it. However, that same form probably won’t provide a good user experience when used from a mobile device.

Users will have a much better experience with forms that follow these user interface guidelines and are designed specifically for the mobile environment.
