Uninstall Salesforce CLI or Plug-Ins
Uninstalling Salesforce CLI removes it entirely from your computer.
macOS or Linux
Enter all these commands in a terminal:
1sudo rm -rf /usr/local/sfdx
2sudo rm -rf /usr/local/lib/sfdx
3sudo rm -rf /usr/local/bin/sfdx
4sudo rm -rf ~/.local/share/sfdx ~/.config/sfdx ~/.cache/sfdx
5sudo rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/sfdxWindows
- Select .
- Select SFDX CLI, and click Uninstall.
- Inside your home directory, delete the .config\sfdx directory.
If the CLI is still installed, delete the %LOCALAPPDATA%\sfdx directory in Program Files.
npm
If you installed Salesforce CLI with npm, uninstall it with this command:
1npm uninstall sfdx-cli --globalUninstall the salesforcedx or Supporting Plug-Ins
Let’s say that you previously installed the salesforce@latest-rc plug-in, but now you want to go back to latest. Uninstalling the plug-in takes you back to the core version that’s bundled with the CLI. Enter this command from a terminal or Windows command prompt:
1sfdx plugins:uninstall salesforcedxThe command to uninstall a supporting plug-in is similar:
1sfdx plugins:uninstall alias
