Tableau CRM Dashboard JSON Overview

The easiest way to build dashboards in Tableau CRM is to use the dashboard designer. However, if needed, you can further customize dashboards by editing their JSON files. The JSON defines the components of the dashboard and how they interact.

Modify a dashboard’s JSON file to perform advanced customization tasks that can’t be accomplished in the designer’s user interface, like:

  • Manually set up bindings to override the default faceting behavior and specify the relationships between the steps that aren’t bound by default.
  • Set query limits.
  • Specify columns for a values table.
